New State of the Market (January 2010) Report Released
Now in its tenth year of production, Charter Keck Cramer's semi-annual State of the Market: Residential Apartments (Central City Region) report for January 2010 is now available. In response to subscribers' feedback we have now included additional future planned supply information to further enhance the Report's effectiveness.
The SOM - CCR report incorporates the latest demand and supply indicators benchmarked against long-term observations as well as an up-to-date outlook in light of the rapidly changing economic and finance conditions. For example, did you know that there were more apartment sales in 2009 than the long-term annual average?
The SOM - CCR report provides concise and insightful commentary and comprehensive analysis of the apartment sector across the Central City Region (covering the CBD Grid, CBD North, St Kilda Road, Southbank and Docklands). It also provides over 30 detailed charts, tables and maps relating to the broader market as well as at a precinct level across the following:
Demand Analysis:
- Economic, Population and Established Housing Market Context;
- First-Time Sales Activity (by development status, purchaser type, precincts);
- Rental Market Conditions (rent levels, rental stock estimates, new leases).
Supply Analysis:
- Stock (by development status and precinct, and updated forecasts to 2013);
- Releases, Commencements and Completions (by precinct over annual and semi-annual periods to 2013);
- Precinct specific analysis (including A3 maps indicating projects by development status and time of completion);
- Future planned supply (by precinct and project size).
Market Balance:
- Stock Overhang (by development status, period of release, purchaser type, precinct and forecasts by completion period);
- Stock Absorption (net and gross measures by status of development, precinct, net absorption and forecasts by completion period);
- Stock Clearance Index.
The cost of the Report (exclusive of GST) is $4,500 in hard copy or electronic (pdf) format. Other advantages available to Subscribers include:
- Executive Briefing to further discuss the implications of the report's findings at no additional charge (up to 1 hour at your Melbourne office).
- equivalent Supply Analysis reports that cover the broader Metropolitan Melbourne and City Fringe regions at a cost of $500 per additional region. Coverage of demand indicators for these market, to the same standard as in the Central City Region report, will be provided in future editions.
