The private and public sectors have diverse property needs across Government and statutory bodies. Commonly, these organisations are very large owners and/or users of specialist property accommodation and accordingly, the Government valuation group's advice will often relate to properties which are specialised and in some instances not actively traded in the market place.
Our advice regularly pertains to freehold and leasehold assessments for both sale and purchase by various Government departments, statutory groups, utility providers and specialist bodies such as educational groups, health providers, emergency services and the utility sector.
The valuation advice is formed with regard to our specialist knowledge in these areas, having been formulated over years of experience culminating in the establishment of detailed databases.
Public accountability for these organisations and the need for transparency adds to a high degree of specialist property expertise being required. The latter includes an in depth knowledge of legislation and valuation requirements specifically for Government and semi Government groups in addition to having a thorough understanding of the Office of the Valuer-General's requirements and those of the Victorian Government Land Monitor.
